Hello, I am Desiré Kokuvi Amouzou. At my core, I am a creator and a communicator, wielding the hybrid still & video camera to tell stories that matter. My journey as a freelance Documentary Photographer/Filmmaker and a new media journalist has been fueled by my love for photojournalism and documentary editorials.
My multicultural upbringing across West Africa, Montreal, and British Columbia has shaped my perspective. As a mixed ethnicity African Canadian, I carry the legacy of my parents - a New York African American immigrant and a humanitarian worker from the Okanagan. They instilled in me a deep respect for our neighbors, our planet, and our creator, urging me to explore the significant questions of life and to stand for truth.
My professional journey includes acting, writing, and directing in a debut short film for the Abbotsford Film Festival. Each piece of my work is infused with the essence of what my parents stood for, blending integrity, empathy, and a quest for truth.
I specialize in creating large-scale, documentary-style brand videos that capture the authentic essence of a brand's story. My approach to content creation is deeply personal, ensuring that each project reflects a narrative that resonates with its audience.
As a self-published freelancer, I uphold the highest standards of integrity in my work, ensuring that every story is told with authenticity and professionalism.
